Our hemp protein balls are a healthy on the go snack that is protein dense, and a bit salty with a touch of sweet.
Gather: Gather together a sheet pan, parchment paper, all ingredients and a food processor.
Set Up: Plug in the food processor and line a sheet pan with the parchment paper and set aside.
Blend: In the food processor, combine the pitted dates, macadamia nuts and sunflower seeds. Pulse these until they have a crumb like consistency. Add the remaining ingredients and process until well combined. The mixture should be sticky and easily stick together when forming a ball. If the mixture seems dry, add a drizzle of water or sunflower oil and retest.
Roll: Spoon a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a 1-inch ball and set on the parchment paper. Repeat until all of the mixture has been rolled into balls.
Refrigerate: Place in the refrigerator for about an hour or until the balls are firm.
Store: Keep balls in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Makes ~20 balls
