Kona, Hawaii — January 28, 2019 – Steve Sakala, CEO of Mana Artisan Botanics™, is committed to educating the spa industry on the value of sustainable farming of CBD-rich (cannabidiol) hemp strains. Spas have embraced CBD in the treatment room and retail boutique for the diverse and potent health benefits, making it one of the biggest wellness trends for 2019. Sakala combines his 20 years of experience in regenerative and medical cannabis to help spa professionals sort through misinformation and get the facts about hemp, now available legally in 50 States due to The Hemp Farming Act of 2018.
Sakala operates Honaunau Farm in Kona, Hawaii, where he grows organic botanicals that act synergistically with CBD. In addition to his speaking engagements on sustainable and regenerative agriculture, Sakala is passionate about sharing what CBD is, how it’s different from THC found in marijuana, and what to look for in a high-quality CBD product.
“Spa directors are overwhelmed with all the CBD products that are coming on the market, and they want to know who can they trust,” says Sakala.
Five things to look for in sourcing a CBD product:
“My hope is that spas start demanding organic, sustainably-grown cannabis products. We want our farm and company to serve as a model and a force for good in the industry’” Sakala adds. “Given that cannabis acts as a phytoremediator (i.e. soil cleanser), it is disheartening that there hasn’t been more attention to the way cannabis is grown. I hope to see the increasing consumer demand for organic, healthy, foods translate to a similar demand in the cannabis industry.”
Sakala has been active in the political landscape of Hawaii’s regenerative agriculture movement for the past thirteen years. He has served as the president of the local chapter of Hawaii Farmers Union United, part of the oldest agriculture organization in the country. He has also spent time lobbying for sustainable agriculture in Washington, D.C., and in the Hawaii state legislature. In his efforts to support sustainable hemp legislation and cultivation in the State of Hawaii, Steve’s company Green Hawaii Genetics was awarded one of the first contracts to grow hemp seed strains for the state.
Mana Artisan Botanics™, Hawaii’s premier wellness-driven hemp company, handcrafts phytocannabinoid-rich products for endocannabinoid system (ECS) support. Based on the Big Island of Hawaii, the company offers artisanal, whole-plant hemp extracts, infused with pure Hawaiian botanicals. Awesome post! Keep up the great work! 🙂
Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I
find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
I would like to thnkx for the efforts you’ve put in writing this site. I’m hoping the same high-grade website post from you in the upcoming as well. Actually your creative writing skills has inspired me to get my own blog now. Really the blogging is spreading its wings rapidly. Your write up is a great example of it.
Hiya, I’m really glad I’ve found this information. Today bloggers publish just about gossip and web stuff and this is really frustrating. A good blog with interesting content, that’s what I need. Thank you for making this web site, and I’ll be visiting again. Do you do newsletters by email?
